Guest design card for Spellbinders Cardmaker ll Collection

Today my last project for the Cardmaker ll Collection from Spellbinders.

For this card i started with creating the card panels. I made a panel front and a panel strip in the middle with white cardstock. I ink blended the card front with Distress Oxide inks speckled egg and tumbled glass. Just soft handed from the middle to the top and bottom edges.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the clear stamp set New Start, on the white card strip with gold embossing powder.
I also heat embossed the smallest butterfly with that gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the butterfly and glued it on the strip. I placed this white strip on the card front with double sided foam tape.

I created all the little flowers from the die set Petite Floral Potpourri. I love that die set with all the gorgeous florals.
I used white cardstock and i softly inked them with Distress Oxide inks. I glued them next to the edges of the card strip.
For some extra detail i glued a few rhinestones in the centers of the flowers and a few clear drops around them.

I placed the card front on the card base with double sided foam tape for more dimension, because i just love dimension on cards! Sorry hahaha

Guest design card with Cardmaker ll Collection from Spellbinders

Hi! Today i am back with a card created with the newest Spellbinders Cardmaker ll Collection.
For this card i used the pretty stamp set ‘Love Never Fails’
This clear stamp set is so versatile! Love it

I created a card panel with white cardstock. I made sure the panel was mall enough, that it would fit my card base, having a nice big border.

The thing is, i hardly think about the design when i am going to make a project. I have one basic design in my mind and mostly just start and see what happens. Most of the times i add a lot of details along the way.
For this card it ment i just grabbed the ink colors i wanted to use (used the inks from Pinkfresh Studio) and  got my stamp tool. I LOVE this color combo a lot. I started with stamping the flowers in the center. Then i just arranged the other stamps around. I did make sure the stamped images did not touched the edges, because i just didn’t like it that way. I wanted the design stayed a bit clean and simple this time.
I stamped the sentiment in the center. I did thought about stamping it on a strip of cardstock and pop it up on the card. But that took away the clean and one-layer look of this card.

I placed the card panel on the off-white card base with double sided foam tape. Now it was no longer an one layered card hahaha but this just looked better to me.
I also added a few gold rhinestones, just to give it a little extra detail.
I mostly do an arrangement of three (or a least uneven). This just looks better on a lay out.
But when there is a lot going on, like on this card, there are a lot of elements alone, an even number of embellishments is ok. I placed 4 rhinestones in the center of the flowers.
Another tip is, that if you have a card lay out like this card, make sure you place the center a tiny bit more up. This way the sentiment and center are a little bit above the middle of the card and that just looks better.

At the end i stamped some of the images on the envelope too, to create a matching set. I hardly do this, but it looks so pretty when it is a matching set. I need to remember this more ;)

Hi all! Today i am sharing a card created with the newest Cardmaker ll Collection from Spellbinders paper arts.

I have been asked if i wanted to play with some of the clear stamp sets from this Cardmaker ll Collection. Super excited about this!! So there will be more projects the next weeks showing more of the clear stamp sets.

For this card i used the adorable frogs from the Spellbinders -Jump for Joy clear stamp set. I stamped the frogs on a white watercolor cardstock with My Favorite Things extreme black ink. This is waterproof ink.I watercolored the frogs with my Karin Brushmarkers Pro. I wanted them to have a soft look, so watercoloring is for me the best way to get that. For the lovely layered flowers i used from Spellbinders the -Simply Perfect Layered Blooms detailed cutting dies.I absolutely love these die because they are so versatile. I used some soft pinks and purple colored cardstocks.I arranged them with foam squares, to give them a nice pop, on my card front. For some bling i glued a few rhinestones on the flowers. The sentiment is also from the Jump for Joy clear stamp set. The sentiments from this set perfecty fits the frog images.I heat embossed the 'hang in there' on black cardstock with WOW opaque bright white, super fine, embossing powder.Created a strip and placed it on the card base with double sided foam tape.I glued the card front on light green carsstock and placed that on my white card base with double sided foam tape, to give it some extra dimension.
